Piper

Piper is an 18 yo dark bay Arabian gelding. Piper was a rescue situation with his previous owner who put him and Jackson out to pasture with his cows to let get fat and sassy and run around being a horse. Since we've gotten the pair, Piper has been energetic, happy, and beautiful. Corey immediately took to him, but he got poked by a stick during a ride last fall and the injury affected more than his leg, it depressed him. Sometimes when horses get hurt and left to heal they don't understand why their new pal isn't coming to ride them anymore. He dropped weight and we struggled to put it back on. Then he contracted rain rot from another horse, so we still weren't riding him. He is doing much better now, though and Corey is ready to get back on him and strengthen the relationship he began with him last year, so be watching for updated videos on Piper in the future! Every horse has a story, but they rely on us 2 legged's to tell it for them. Sometimes that doesn't go as good as we'd hope. There's no tellin' where this horse has been, or what he's seen, what cards he's been dealt or what he's had to endure. But he's worthy of love and he still has a long future ahead of him.
