Midnight

Midnight is a 7 yo gelding standing at 14.1hh. This little gelding is Kaleb's current favorite horse to ride. At his previous pasture, he was used exclusively as a ranch horse and it shows. He neck reins, has a big stop, is used to having a rope thrown off his back and knows how to pivot fancy! He responds extremely well to leg pressure and would best be suited for an advanced rider or someone working with a trainer. He would make an awesome event horse if taken that route, as he is super athletic. The cowboys who previously owned him would run him up into a corral from the pasture and throw a rope on him to catch him. Within two weeks of getting him to the farm he has gained trust for us and while he is still hard to catch, he now is interested in getting scratches and treats. Kaleb can generally catch him within 15 minutes and our boys have also been making great progress with catching him. He is certainly softer with kids. Midnight came to us with a bad habit of bucking upon the first mount up, but we feel this issue has been resolved. But this is his background with us, and that needs to be made clear. However, Kaleb, Corey, Colt and myself have ridden him several times and we all agree that he is a blast to ride.
