Dottie

Dottie is a stunning 6 yo Appaloosa mare standing at 14.1hh. Dottie has a special story. A lovely family bought her at the auction in December of '25. She had had her foal pulled from her at auction, but seemed to be a good fit for what they were after. When they got her home, they quickly realized the situation wasn't what they had signed up for. They put Dottie in her stall, a 12x12, and tried, unsuccessfully, for 12 days to catch her without getting hurt. Kaleb was able to go to their farm and within 3 hours was on her back. It wasn't pretty, but he realized that what she needs is a consistent soft, but firm enough, hand. His motto is "Ideally, you don't teach a horse how to be soft, you just never take it away. But always remember, when big steps are too much, you can always take smaller ones."
